São Paulo, Brazil, March 29, 2009 Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional (CSN) (BOVESPA: CSNA3) (NYSE: SID) announces today its results for the fourth quarter of 2008 (4Q08), in accordance with Brazilian accounting principles, Law 11,638/07 and Executive Decree 449/08, and denominated in Brazilian Reais (R$). All comments presented herein refer to the Company’s consolidated results and comparisons refer to the fourth quarter of 2007 (4Q07), unless otherwise stated. For reference purposes, amounts in U.S. dollars were converted into Reais at the Real/US Dollar exchange rate of R$2.337 on December 31, 2008.
